Another Great Day

We woke up in Killbear PP on Georgian Bay – Jim's dream destination. I didn't get up until 8:45, about 3 hrs later than at home!, but the puppies didn't sleep well for some reason so neither did I. We planned to take them to the pet exercise are here but the the late start coupled with doing a short hike on the Lighthouse Pt trail meant it was naptime, not playtime. We went instead to the park visitor center. It compared favorably to a US National Park VC.

After that it was on to the day use beach where we'd made supper last nite. We set up day camp which means Lena's pen, Sol's chain, their bed and waters & our chairs, a table and reading material. Once that was done I got started on my 2nd favorite vacation activity-- reading and loafng. I'm reading “Sunshine Sketches of A Little Town” by Stephen Leacock. We believe Garrison Keillor fashioned Lake Wobegone after the town in this book. Tomorrow we head to Orillia where Mr. Leacock lived and the town sketched in the book.

Addendum: There was one disappointment to the day – our picnic table including our table cloth and clips were gone from our campsite when we returned.
