12 T shirs, Check. Raincoat, check. Meat for 23 meals, check. Lena's kennel, check. 6 bottles of wine, enuf to hold us till we get to Canada, check. Must be ready to hit the road.
We left Burlington at 10AM after checking to see that dad was doing well after spine surgery. Looks like he's doing better than we could have expected, no pain in his left leg, in good spirits and looking forward to finally getting settled in at Sunnybrook.
Today is our longest drive of the trip, about 7 hours will get us to High Cliff State Park just outside Appleton WI. Drive is uneventful with only 2 stops for Lena to pee. We arrive in Appleton just in time to here Tishmingo Blues and settle in for a rebroadcast of PHC -- its wine and cheese hour. Ah we are on our way.
