Chutes

Yesterday (Sunday)and today are the longest drives we have remaining until we make the drive home. Even so we diddled around on the drive but its all good. We had a teriffic lunch - Lake Superior whitefish and poutine. Poutine for the unitiated is gravy and melted cheese over french fries, a real comfort food.

We got to Chutes PP about 4PM in time to take the Twin Bridges trail and take in the falls overlooks. Met a solo traveler from the Twin Cities and walked with her for much of the hike. She's an english teacher on her way to a week long watercolor painting retreat just north of here. We invited her to join us for dinner, she accepted but then told us she was a vegetarian. Her dinner was fried potatoes and green beans topped off with caremelized peaches and blueberries over the last of our ice cream.
