A picture perfect evening

Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore. I actually considered not coming here when planning the trip. That would have been a big mistake. We had one of the best days in our 34 years of marriage yesterday capped off with a 3 hour boat ride to view the pictured rocks from the water.

We made a dinner camp at a Munising city park on the lakeshore. Probably spent just a little too much time on wine and cheese as we arrived to pick up our tickets with only 2 minutes to spare. No problem they were taking 2 boats and we didn't waste any time waiting in line. We got a seat in the stern of the boat with a clear view to both sides. Usually I tune out the cheesy narrative, but this one was fact filled. The wind had settled down so the ride was smooth. Went about 15 miles up the lake from Munising and were able to see almost all of the sandstone bluffs that have been carved by water and wind. The night was crisp, enough clouds to add interest and all in all just perfect.
