Searching for Gordon Lightfoot

When I told Melodee we would be camping near the place where the Edmund Fitzgerald went down only 3 months after we were married, she told me she wanted to see Gordon Lightfoot perform within sight of the wreck. Today marks the start of the 3 days we will be camping on Whitefish Bay as in "... the searchers all say she would have made Whitefish Bay ...". So far no Gordon, but I keep hoping. I've tried to tell Melodee that we will be going to Gordon's hometown, Orillia Ont, but to no avail.
She's holding out for a concert from the man himself in a place overlooking Whitefish Bay.

PS, I think he's in the Maritimes right now. Not really much chance he's going to jet back to the Sault for a spontaneous gig.

  1. Hey, stranger things have happened than Gordon Lightfoot jetting back to the Sault for a spontaneous gig...well, maybe not. Additionally, thanks - I'm going to bed soon and now I have Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald stuck in my head!
